It costs – YOU – nothing! – We would like to hold off on any form of advertising or added value / upgrade options for as long as possible, concentrating instead on developing the underline project.
What does it cost – US – to run?
This project is hosted on a virtual private server (VPS) at Dream Host. In addition to the $8.95 per month account / hosting fee, the monthly fee for the VPS is between $15.00 and $200.00 / month based on required resources. The short version is that with virtually no usage, we only pay about $25.00 / month. However, the more activity we see, the more we will need to turn up the VPS memory and cpu resources, and the more it will cost us up to $208.95 / month. Once we have exceeded the resources required of a VPS we will move up to a dedicated server, after that we will move to multiple dedicated servers.

Donate to the Folkview Hosting Account – We will never see this money. Instead, if you click to the left you will be brought to a page at Dream Host. That page will allow you to use Pay Pal to donate directly to our hosting account. We can never use these funds to do anything but pay our hosting bill which is sure to rise as the project takes off.
Donate to the Folk behind Folkview - (coming soon) -This is our Pay Pal account. Consider this a tip. Before we incorporate, any money’s in our Pay Pal account that exceed a minimum balance necessary to insure continuity will be distributed between the two fools who started the project.
Donate to the hosting of a Specific Domain – (coming soon) – As with donating to the Folkview hosting account, you can show similar support for a specific domain. Again, we will never see this money. It will instead be sent directly to Dream Host to offset what we are sure will be a growing monthly hosting bill.
